Archibald's Story
Piotr Arcimowicz wasn't just passionate about sports, he had a winning formula. After coaching and competing in the UK, including a stint at the East Dorset Club under his mentor Brian McFadden, he made the move to Dubai with a clear vision: to build something of his own. In 2016, with his brother Lucas, he launched Archibald Sports Academy at Jebel Ali Recreation Club, starting with the sport they knew best: tennis.
But their passion for racquets didn't stop there. They soon expanded their services to include squash and paddle tennis, catering to a wider range of sporting interests. Recognizing the growing demand for swimming instruction, they launched a dedicated swimming academy in 2023.
As the academy grew, so did the complexity. Managing a multitude of activities, schedules, and student information became increasingly demanding. Communication with parents, a crucial aspect of any sports academy, required a streamlined system. "Since Classcard has been introduced," Piotr explains, "it has helped us significantly by using most of its features. Especially in terms of informing the customers, and the parents so they have access to information about the lessons and progress."
How Archibald Uses Classcard
Admin time cut by an estimated 80%
Managing schedules, processing payroll, and keeping parents informed used to pull Piotr and the Archibald team away from coaching for significant stretches of every week. With Classcard handling those functions systematically, that time has been redirected. Coaches spend more time on court and in the pool. Piotr spends more time on the business. The administrative drag that accompanied growth has largely disappeared.
Four sports, one platform, with room to keep growing
Archibald launched as a tennis academy. Today it runs four distinct sports programmes - tennis, squash, paddle sports, and swimming - each with its own scheduling demands, coach rosters, and student bases. Managing all of this from a single platform instead of the clutter of spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups has made expansion less daunting.
A genuinely connected parent community
Parent satisfaction improved meaningfully once families had real-time access to lesson information, progress updates, and booking confirmations through the platform. For an academy built on community, that connection matters more than ever. It reflects what Archibald stands for: a place where everyone knows what's happening and feels part of something.
