Overview

Teachers already live in their own calendar. This integration puts their Classcard schedule there too, so they stop checking two places. Once a staff member connects their Google account, every class and event assigned to them appears in their Google Calendar automatically, on the web, on their phone, and anywhere else they are signed in.

The sync runs one way, from Classcard to Google Calendar. Classcard stays the single source of truth for your schedule: add a class, move a session, or cancel an event, and the change flows straight through. Each staff member connects their own account from their profile, so nobody sees anyone else’s timetable.

FAQs

Do edits made in Google Calendar sync back to Classcard?

No. This is a one-way sync from Classcard to Google Calendar. Changes made directly in Google Calendar will not be reflected in Classcard, so always manage your schedule from within Classcard.

Where do I turn the integration on?

Go to People > Staff and open the staff member’s profile. Make sure the Takes classes toggle is on, then scroll to the Calendar sync section and click Connect next to Google Calendar.

Does every staff member need to connect their own Google account?

Yes. The sync is enabled per staff member. Each person needs the Takes classes toggle switched on, and then connects their own Google account from their profile.

Which classes appear in a staff member’s Google Calendar?

Only the classes and events assigned to that staff member in Classcard. Staff never see each other’s schedules through the integration.

Do I need a paid Google Workspace account?

No. Any Google account with Google Calendar works, including free personal accounts. A Google Workspace subscription is not required.

In which countries is Google Calendar available?

Google Calendar is available worldwide and comes with every Google account, so staff can use the integration from any country where Google services are accessible.
