Overview

This is a direct connection between Classcard and your academy’s own WhatsApp Business account, with no third-party messaging provider in between. Sign in with your Meta Business account, pick your WhatsApp Business account and number, and you can send reminders, schedule changes, and class alerts to students and parents straight from Classcard chat.

Because it runs directly on the WhatsApp Business Platform, messaging is billed through your own Meta Wallet and templates are approved by Meta. You keep control of your number, your costs, and your branding. Classcard ships a set of pre-approved default templates, so most academies can start messaging the same day they connect.

What do I need before I can connect WhatsApp?

You need a Meta Business account and a WhatsApp Business account. If you do not have them yet, you can create them during the connection flow.

How do I connect my WhatsApp account to Classcard?

On the Classcard dashboard, open the Integrations menu and find WhatsApp on the All Integrations page or under the Communication tab. Click Add an account, log in with your Facebook Business credentials, select your Business portfolio and WhatsApp Business account, then add and verify your WhatsApp phone number.

Do I still need a Twilio account for this?

No. This connects directly to the WhatsApp Business Platform, so no third-party messaging provider or separate Twilio account is required.

How is WhatsApp messaging billed?

Meta bills you through your Meta Wallet. Add a payment method and top up your balance in Meta Business Suite under WhatsApp Manager > Account tools > Payment methods. Messages will not be delivered if your wallet balance runs out.

Do my message templates need to be approved?

Yes. Meta has to pre-approve templates before you can use them. The default templates provided by Classcard are already approved and ready to send.

Can I connect more than one WhatsApp number?

Each Classcard academy can connect one WhatsApp Business account at a time.

In which countries does WhatsApp Business messaging work?

WhatsApp Business messaging works worldwide, wherever WhatsApp itself is available. Meta’s per-conversation rates vary by country, so check Meta’s pricing page for the regions you message most.
